Bath Towel Quality:

The qualities of bath towels are important. Usually when towels are mixed with mostly cheap synthetic materials (depending on the materials) these towels can look cheap and not absorb water well. Cotton and poly blends are good for bath towels because these towels can be a better quality but also be cheaper because they are using a cotton and poly blend. The highest quality of towels can be 100% quality cotton. These towels are extremely absorbent and durable. 

The design, patter, construction, and weave of the towel can also play into the quality of the towel. Usually, basic towels with one color and minimal types of weaves are characterized as lower quality. 
This can be seen down below.
Medium to high quality towels can be seen to have various colors and weaves, even jacquard weaves. Different types of patterns can be characterized as high-quality towels as well. This can be seen in the image down below.

Bedding Materials:

Bedding materials with a lower thread count and synthetic materials are usually characteristics of a cheaper quality bedding material. This can make the bedding materials not as durable and rough to the touch. Bedding that is made with a high thread count like cotton which is breathable and durable.  


The sheets shown above are sheets with a high thread count and these sheets can be thicker and not as translucent. These sheets can be breathable and durable, they are harder to create holes in the sheets while sheets with a lower thread count can create holes and not be as durable.

Research Initiatives: Week 14 INT 323 Eva Serrato Carpet Tile Installation: For carpet tile installation you first have to make sure that the sub floor is in the correct condition and any sort of padding is installed beforehand. There are different patterns that need to be decided before installation starts. After this is decided then how the tiles will be planned when they intersect a doorway or a corner and this can be decided by a dry lay which is laying the carpets down before they are glued. Then the tiles need to acclimate to the humidity of the room. Then the adhesive is placed, either a peel and stick or a direct glue down. Usually starting in the middle of the room to the outside would be most efficient.  Carpet tiles can show more seams; however the installation can be easier as well as the repair can be cheaper that wall to wall because the individual tile can be removed.   Personal Blog/ Special Considerations INT 323   Eva Serrato   My name is Eva Serrato and I am Senior at Judson University. I am on the women's Cross county and Track team. My hometown is Gilberts IL, which is 15 minutes away from Judson. The reason why I picked interior design is because, growing up I always liked art and design because my mom was an art teacher, I was exposed to design and creating art at a young age. Over the years I wanted to pursue a career that would make me money, but also have a design aspect as well.
