Making Rayon Fiber:
In this video they conduct an experiment where they make rayon fibers or artificial silk. The materials they need for this experiment are a basic copper carbonate, baking soda, and ammonia. First they take the copper carbonate and put it into a glass then they take the ammonia solution can combine them. This changes the color from a greenish tint to a bright blue color.

Cotton Testing
The process of cotton testing first starts when bags of cotton are brought to the facility from different cotton gins all around America. The cotton is then put into bins and are tested for their consistency and checked if they are conditioned to withstand the testing. The cotton is sectioned into little bunches with bar codes, and they are tested to see how much resistance there is in that bunch of cotton for the air to go around it.
Once the cotton passes the test it shoots back out and it placed with the same bar code, so it is traceable. To test the elasticity of the cotton, the cotton is brushed out and then put in a machine that grabs one end of the fibers and pull to see how much elasticity it has. Sometimes the fibers will break right in half and other will not. One important fact to note is that depending on the year and how the cotton will grow, these tests can have different outcomes year to year.
